April 13, 2016 Bay Ridge Prep hosts public launch event announcing plans to the school community and a goal of raising at least $5 million to secure financing and credit for the proposed $20 million facility. At the event, it is revealed that nearly half of the $5 million has already been pledged thanks to the leadership of a few generous donors who now ask the rest of the school community to join them in turning imagination into reality.

 

March 14, 2016 Bay Ridge Prep files plans with New York City Department of Buildings to begin process of constructing a new schoolhouse facility at 429 89^th Street. The school expects to continue this process over the next few months as it works with the Buildings Department, the Board of Standards and Appeals, the local community board and well as local officials and community leaders.
